I am essentially using neocitites to get stuff out of my brain in place I fully control because I hate posting on social media. Tumblr included. Also to keep track of hobby progress.

I used to love making (well lbr editing) cool tumblr themes and now that that's pointless, I think neocities can scratch that same itch.

Feel free to have a look around! It's still heavily under construction and is definitely not a priority but it's fun. I love helping keep old internet alive. I miss when the internet was more than like 5-10 websites.

I have to say, as much as I've enjoyed messing around with Neocities like have. I do find the barrier to entry a little frustrating. I found myself stalling on working on the site because I don't have the skill to make it how I want it and don't have the time to dedicate to learning because tbh I just prefer learning other things. /sigh. It's making me miss wordpress a little bit.

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving week if you celebrate! Mine was chaotic but nice.

Anyway, I realize I've been letting my healthy habits drop lately and I've started feeling the repurcussions of it. So today, I'm working towards getting back on track. Starting with trying to give Coral Island a rest for a few days. Wish me luck, lol!

I met my Storygraph reading goal today! My goal was 35 books and 12,000 pages and I've managed to hit both finishing Wintering. So I'm very excited to be able to start another book and see how many I can read before the end of the year.

I finished the bandana for my dad!! I'd post it but it's legit just a hemmed square so that feels a bit pointless lol. But I'm excited to have one more sewing project crossed off my list. Now I just have a few tote bags and I'm done Christmas crafting!!!!

I finished all the scrunchies I was making for Christmas!! I counted and I made a total of 40 scrunchies in about a month and a half. With some periods of just not working on them for a bit lol. Anyway, tomorrow I hope to cut out a tote bag and a bandana I'm making for christmas. Also, I want to get some writing done.

hoo boy. I have not written in days but I blame the combo of Coral Island 1.0 release and the plumber pushing back a day. So I FINALLY got running water back today. And I just could not bring myself to do anything but mainline Coral Island once I found out that it wouldn't be yesterday.

Anyway, I've had my fill of the game for now. So I'm going to try and do some writing tomorrow in between doing laundry and dishes. Today I did stop to mop my floors and scrub my toilet. So It wasn't only video games for a 2nd day in a row. lmao.

The 1.0 of Coral Island launched today. It is taking all of my strength to not continue playing but like 7ish hours of playing in one day is enough. So I'm going to try to write for a bit tonight before doing my night time routine. /sigh

Also, T-2 days until I have running water again!!! \o/

wowowow. So I'm watching the first season of US Big Brother because I love shitty reality TV and I've never tried it before. But they advertise that you can go to bigbrother2000.com and learn more about the cast, view live videos, etc.

I just tried going to the website and it's not even active anymore!! The domain is for sale. Talk about a misopportunity for keeping old internet alive. The footage they show of the website made me so nostalgic. /sigh

Today was so bittersweet. I had to put down my childhood cat. She lived a long life at 18. But I'm so TT.

However, I do finally have a plumber willing to do the work I need. He's coming to do the work on the 16th so I only have 6 more days with no running water.

I don't want to be an adult anymore. Total plumber call count: 7. Total number of plumbers willing to fix my issue: 0. Not having to fill my toilet tank by hand anymore: Priceless.

Day 4 of not having running water. I've called 3 plumbers. The first "fixed" things so that I have running water in my kitchen sink only and said they'd call me the next morning. Narrator: They did not call. The 2nd took my information and said they'd call in the afternoon. The afternoon isn't over yet but at 3pm, I'm def losing hope. And the 3rd, I had to leave a message.

I'm at my rope's end y'all. I just want to get started on this!!! It's going to take a while to do the work regardless!!!! The longer it takes someone to get here and get fucking started, the longer I'm without running water. Do y'all know how much it fucking sucks to have to manually refill your toilet tank to flush it and drive an hour to take a shower????
